For New Zealand suppliers

Your customer asked for your emissions data. Send a clear answer.

CarbonReply turns your power bills, fuel cards and freight invoices into a plain Scope 1 and 2 estimate you can send back, with the method and assumptions written out. The Reply Pack is NZ$149, one-off, and opens soon.

Who it's for

New Zealand businesses with about 5 to 200 staff that have just been asked for their emissions by a big customer, a bank or a government agency, usually with a deadline.

You have the bills. You don't have a reporting team, and you don't need a year-round subscription to answer one email.

  • Manufacturers
  • Freight and logistics
  • Food and beverage producers
  • Construction trades
  • Professional and business services

What's in the Reply Pack

A guided intake asks for the figures you already have, one at a time. You get back a short pack you can attach to your reply.

Your Scope 1 and 2 estimate

Calculated from electricity kWh, fuels, refrigerants, travel and freight, using the Ministry for the Environment's Measuring Emissions Guide 2026 (v2026.2) factors.

Method and assumptions note

Which factor was used for each line, where your numbers came from, and any assumptions we had to make. Written so a non-specialist can follow it.

What's left out

A clear list of exclusions, plus a plain statement of which Scope 3 data the pack doesn't cover yet.

PDF and spreadsheet

A PDF to attach to your email and an XLSX with every input and factor, so your customer can drop the numbers into their own template.

NZ$149 one-off, no subscription. GST isn't charged while we're not GST-registered.

If we can't produce your pack, you get your money back. Not on sale yet: join the waitlist to hear when it opens.

What this is not

  • Not an audit or an independent check. Every Reply Pack is a self-reported estimate prepared using MfE 2026 emission factors; not verified or assured.
  • Not a full Scope 3 inventory. It covers Scope 1 and 2 and tells you plainly what Scope 3 data is missing.
  • Not a promise about your customer. We can't say how any customer will treat it. The pack shows its working so they can judge it.
  • Not reviewed by a person. Your pack is generated from what you enter. Nobody looks over your figures before you send them.
  • Not advice. It's an estimating tool. It isn't financial, legal or tax advice.
  • Not a subscription. You pay once for one pack.

Free guide, coming soon

What to send when a customer asks for your emissions

A short, answer-first guide and checklist for New Zealand suppliers, using MfE factors. Waitlist members get it first.

  • What the request usually means, in plain words
  • Scope 1, 2 and 3, explained for a small business
  • A checklist of the bills and records to gather
  • How to word your reply, including what you can't answer yet

Questions

What will I need to have on hand?

The last 12 months of power bills (the kWh figures), fuel card statements or receipts, any refrigerant top-ups from your service records, and travel and freight invoices. The intake asks for each one in turn, and you can skip anything you don't have.

Which emission factors does it use?

The Ministry for the Environment's Measuring Emissions Guide 2026 (v2026.2). Every factor in your pack is listed next to the figure it was applied to, so anyone can trace the maths.

Will my customer take a Reply Pack as it is?

We can't promise how any customer will treat it. The pack shows your figures, the method and what's left out, so they can judge it for themselves. If your customer sent a template or a portal link, check what it asks for before you start.

Does it cover Scope 3?

Not yet. The pack covers Scope 1 (fuel and refrigerants you use directly) and Scope 2 (purchased electricity), and it says plainly which Scope 3 categories aren't included.

How much is it, and when can I get one?

The Reply Pack will be NZ$149, one-off, with no subscription. GST isn't charged at the moment because we're not GST-registered. It isn't on sale yet. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when it opens.

What if you can't produce my pack?

You get your money back. The draft refund policy has the details.
